The Pitt chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers supports Black engineering students at the University of Pittsburgh through community, mentorship, professional development, and academic excellence.
The objective of the University of Pittsburgh Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers shall be to stimulate and develop student interest in engineering; to strive to increase the number of students studying engineering at both the undergraduate and graduate levels; and to endeavor in the advancement of the Black engineer in professional industry. Additionally, this organization shall provide service opportunities for its members and engage in providing STEM opportunities for youth and adults in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.

Our next Member of the Month for the 2026 - 2027 academic year is Temi Ogundare, our Co-Fundraising Chair from the Finance Zone of Pitt NSBE! Temi is a sophomore Industrial Engineering major. Temi has done excellent work in planning and orchestrating fundraising events to raise money for our chapter for future events, showing her passion for our chapter!

The Fall Regional Conference is coming up! Make sure to attend!
On November 5th, 5:30 PM, we will be partnering with CMU to host a GBM to discuss the Fall Regional Conference which will be hosted in Pittsburgh, November 6 - 8! Expect to learn more about what the Fall Regional Conference is and what to expect, in addition to learning our chants!
November 11 will be an info session to learn more about the annual National Conference! Come in to learn more about Nationals, what the conference entails, how to purchase tickets, and more! If you are unable to make it, please reach out if you are still interested in attending Nationals and would like to learn more! See you there!
November 18, 7PM, will be our Thanksgiving General-Body Meeting! Come in to relax before Thanksgiving break and play some fun games! Be sure to be there!
On October 21, 7PM, we hosted a Professional Development workshop to help prepare students for their future! Students were able to learn more about job-hunting tips and tricks including, resume review, interview practice, career fair advice, and more!
On October 13, 6PM, Turner Construction Company visited Benedum Hall to talk with students here at Pitt! Taking place during Construction Inclusion Week, Turner Construction led students through a career conversation and a Q&A to learn more about the construction industry!
